To mark World Book Day 2019, a very special visitor came to our school. Wally, from the Where's Wally Books hid in our library and the children were challenged to find him. He was very difficult to spot behind the library books, but eventually most children found him much to their delight.
The day had started with a Team Quiz about famous children's books before the school bell had rung. The winning team of Shannon, Nicol, Olivia, Laura and Emily got to ring the bell in the foyer as their prize.
At assembly, new books were raffled and one child from each class was drawn out and allowed to take a book of their choice.
The children had already completed a range of activities in their own rooms building up to today and we hope the excitement generated will inspire everyone to read more.
