Visit by Archbishop Eamon Martin and presentation to Fr Kearns.
On Thursday 27th June, Fr Kearns and Archbishop Eamon Martin concelebrated our final mass of the year and then visited the school to see the new building. Our excellent choir performed three songs and a presentation was made to Fr Kearns to mark his Silver Jubilee and to Archbishop Martin to mark his visit. Archbishop Martin was then given a guided tour of our new school building by Mrs Downey and the Eco-councillors and he was very impressed by how we are trying to be Eco-friendly and protect our environment. The morning concluded with refreshments in our staff room and an extended break for the children which included a “Sing along” with the very talented Miss Mary Mc Grath. We are very grateful to Archbishop Martin for taking the time to visit us and we congratulate Fr Kearns on his special anniversary.
