On Thursday December 21st Niamh Scullion, who plays Gaelic football for Down and St Bronagh's GAA teams, visited our school and brought in the Ulster and All-Ireland Cups won by the Down Ladies team this year. It was wonderful to hear from Niamh, a past-pupil at our school, about how she started playing Gaelic Football, what commitment levels are involved, who inspired her etc. The pupils asked many interesting questions, allowing Niamh to give a great insight into what is possible with hard work and perseverance. Many thanks to Niamh for her visit. Hopefully she has inspired many of our young GAA players to strive for bigger and better things in the future.
