On Thursday March 2nd, our school was transformed and all because it was World Book Day! Our classes were full of famous book characters and they certainly brightened up our day.
First thing in the morning the hunt was on for Wally. Each class took it in turn to find our mischievous friend who had, once again, escaped the pages of his “Where’s Wally” book. He was found hiding among the vegetables in our “Eat Them to Defeat Them” display😀
Then we were back in class for fun and more book related activities before our Book Sale began after lunch. The P5’s had done a fantastic job, checking and organising the books for the sale and they even helped the younger children with their purchases. Each class was brought to the library to peruse and choose from the wonderful array of books and it was such a treat to see all the children from P1 to P7 so excited about their new book purchases.
And now, the great reveal…our book sale raised £362!
Thank you all so much for all the book donations and for supporting the sale through your children. Everyone had a great time and we can’t wait to buy the new books for your children to enjoy with all the money we raised!!👏📚👏📚👏📚
