SOW AND GROW
This week, Mr Gallagher and Seamus our caretaker launched our ‘ECO SOW AND GROW’ Initiative here in the outdoor classroom in St. Bronagh’s Primary School. By 9am on Monday morning Mr Gallagher and Seamus led the way as they dug, planted and watered the first vegetables in our new wooden planter.
Throughout the week pupils in each class and staff members were inspired, got involved, got outdoors and got planting a vegetable seedling. The school was a hive of activity as beetroot, broccoli, spinach, scallions, cabbage, parsley and strawberries were planted. April, what a perfect time to sow. Now pupils and staff can’t wait to watch 👀 👀 👀 as they grow. Imagine eating something you have grown yourself. 🥬 🥦 How good is that!!! 😀
