Shared Education Week
Shared Education Week
Sharing the Present, Shaping the Future
Northern Ireland’s first ever Shared Education Week took place from Monday 8th October to Friday 12th October 2018. This was a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved in Shared Education to take part in a week of events and celebrations. The objectives for the week were to:
- celebrate and share the success of the Shared Education programmes being carried out in schools with their pupils, staff, parents and local communities;
- raise awareness and promote a better understanding of the nature, purpose, extent, value and impact of Shared Education in Northern Ireland; and
- explore the future direction of Shared Education.
To celebrate Shared Education Week in St. Bronagh's PS, at our assembly on Thursday 11th October, Mrs Joyce delivered a power point presentation which highlighted what Shared Education is and the benefits of doing it, the history of our partnership with Dromore Rd PS and our plans for Shared Education on 2018-19. We also watched a movie made up of a collection of photographs of our shared work with Dromore Rd PS over the last number of years. Many of the children were very excited to see themselves on the big screen!
