Great news, boys and girls. We have 9 names on The Accerlerated Reading List of Honour. Our first three class members, Andrea, Ryan Mackin and Keira Kelly were added on the 10th May, Keira was added for a second time again on the 17th May. Ross Ferris, Dara Mc Nally and Connor Sloan were included in the elite group on the 24 th May. Next came Aaron Sloan who made the grade on 14th June and was joined by Andrea McEvoy, who made the list a second time.
I have further great news. We have a Gold Certificate Winner in Mathletics. Congratulations Andrea, what an achievement! You are a star. I also would like to say that we have a number of millionaires in our class. The AR scheme which we use in school, has a facility which counts the number of words you read. A few weeks ago I was very impressed when I discovered that Keira and Andrea had become Word Millionaires. This means AR had counted that they both had read over a million words. Wow what an achievement! We only ever had about 5 pupils who achieved this. Then I discovered Andrea had become a double Millionaire, in other words she had read TWO MILLION words. This was a First for St.Bronagh's. Can you imagine my amazement this morning when I discovered she did it again and is now a TRIPLE Millionaire. Yes, Boys and Girls. She has read 3,546,848 words in AR books since September. Imagine that. Well done Andrea, that is a wonderful achievement . Congratulations also to Keira, 1,210,823 words, on such an achievement. You are both in a very elite group.
