Our Eco-Visitor.
St.Bronagh’s Eco-Committee welcomed Ben Ryan from ‘Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful’ to our Eco-meeting last week. Teams Energy, Biodiversity, Climate Change and Recycling were eager to tell Ben what they had been doing and their plans for the rest of the school year. Pupils showed Ben their most recent iMovie ‘ 12 Eco-Days of Christmas’ as well as photos and video footage of Rusty our Red Squirrel. Ben was treated to an Eco-tour of our school grounds as pupils proudly pointed out our vegetable patch, native hedging, squirrel feeders and of course our bird feeders. Ben really loved how we encouraged the birds to stop in our school grounds for a tasty feast at ‘Bronagh’s Bird Cafe’ or ‘Flier Tucks’ or how birds might fly through for a quick bite at ‘Mc Birdie’s Fly-through’ before they travel on their journey. They know, like Ben, there is always a warm welcome for them at St. Bronagh’s School. Thanks so much Ben, we were delighted with your advice for applying to renew our green flag this year and know you are always there to support us.
