Friday 15th February 2019 will long be remembered as an historic day for St Bronagh's Primary School and Youth Club as both buildings were officially opened. Mrs Fiona Hepper Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Department of Education unveiled plaques in both buildings, which were then blessed by The Most Reverend Philip Boyce, Apostolic Administrator. They also spoke very warmly about both of the organisations, as did Mrs Donna Weir Senior Youth Officer at the Education Authority and Mr Gerry Campbell Chief Executive of the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools. Mr Jimmy Morgan on behalf of the youth club and Mr John Gallagher on behalf of the school expressed their sincere gratitude to everyone who had contributed to the projects in any way and particularly thanked the Department of Education for their funding and Fr Brendan Kearns for his unwavering support. All the guests were superbly entertained by the choir of St Bronagh's Primary School and shared light refreshments and a slice of the special cake commissioned to mark the occasion.
