Maths Week 2020
This week in school we will celebrate Maths Week 2020, which takes place from 10-18th Oct. Maths Week promotes and develops a positive attitude towards maths in young people and a wider awareness of the importance of maths. Throughout the week the children will participate in a variety of fun maths activities both indoors and outdoors. Some classes will be lucky enough to avail of an engaging 'Fun Maths' workshop, facilitated by Sentinus, while adhering to all current government guidelines to keep everyone safe. Other classes will complete a daily online maths puzzle set by the maths department in St. Louis Grammar School, all respondents will be entered into a draw to win a small daily prize. Maths Week TV will also broadcast a daily show which children will be able to engage with.
There is also the opportunity to become involved at home. Click on the link below to visit the parent's page of the Maths Week Ireland website.
