Looking after Our World.
The boys and girls from St. Bronagh's Primary School and Dromore Rd, Primary School were learning all about making our world a better place. Patrick, Rodney and Joanne from Newry, Mourne and Down District Council taught us all about being responsible for our own litter and enjoying our beautiful countryside. They reminded us what to recycle into our blue, black and brown bins. Some pupils enjoyed using the litter pickers to sort the rubbish just like Recycling Rex!!! The highlight was when pupils made pencil cases out of cereal boxes. What a fantastic way to reuse an everyday household item. I hope you all didn't have to eat extra cereal so primary threes could HAVE YOUR CEREAL BOX!!! They also made plant pots out of newspapers and let's hope your cress seeds have started to sprout!
