We had a super day at Pettit Park on Monday June 17th for our annual Local League. The captains and the vice-captains managed their teams effectively and positively, and the children conducted themselves responsibly, both on and off the pitch.
They were great competitions and we saw many examples of skill, athleticism and determination. The winning teams were the Connacht boys and Connacht girls teams. However, congratulations go to all who took part and worked hard for their team. We’re proud of all they achieved and the sporting attitude that was evident on the day. And for those of you who were disappointed not to win, think of Mr Gallagher’s words, “win with dignity and lose with dignity,” and remember that we all had a great day out!
