Home Learning (Week beginning 11th May)
Hello Primary 5s and Parents.
Another new week with us still in lockdown, boys and girls. You are all a credit to your families and to our school.
I am very pleased with the response to the Class Dojo tasks which I have assigned. I have been very impressed with the photos of your beautiful altars and your lovely stories about what you have been doing with your families. I am glad to see that you are having fun, as well as completing all your work. This week your photo task is to look out for signs of Spring (Details are on The Class Dojo Portfolio page) and your written task is to describe one of the board games you have been playing with your family (again details on your portfolio page of Class Dojo).
New spellings for this week and activities are in your spelling workbook.
Mental Arithmetic- 1 strip, each day, as before and Table Practice and English Skills workbooks one page each day.
Plenty of reading please and then complete your quiz on AR. I see that 1 boy has already reached his target after reading 3 David Walliams books. That’s great news.
Mathletics this week has 8 assigned tasks. These are on Money and Time. Congratulations to Conor Mc Court and Andrea Mc Evoy who earned Silver Certificates this week and also to the 9 pupils who got their bronze Certificates.
11 new Certificates were also awarded this week on Studyladder. Well done to Alicia Cunningham for gaining a Silver Certificate (250points), Alannah Scanlon and Ross Ferris for receiving a Platinum Certificate (750 points), Aaron Sloan and Ethan Tinnelly for receiving a Bronze Trophy (1000 points), Dara Mc Nally and Lilie Quinn for receiving the Platinum Trophy (1750 points), Grace Mackin for earning a Bronze Ribbon (2000 points), Keira Kelly for earning the Silver Ribbon (2250 points) Connor Sloan for receiving the Gold Ribbon (2500 points) and Conor McCourt, this week’s 🤴 king for winning the Silver Medal (3250 points). This means there are now six pupils with 2000 points or higher. Great work everyone. New tasks are assigned. In numeracy there are 15 tasks again on Time and Money. In Literacy there are also 15 tasks. These are on grammar.
