Primary 4 were treated to a visit from a ‘real-life’ author, courtesy of the AmmA Creative Learning Team and NI Screen. Local man, children’s author Declan Carville, talked the children through the whole process of planning his stories, editing and finally publishing his wide variety of books. He showed the children the artwork created by the illustrators and discussed how the wallpaper was designed.
The whole experience was extremely worthwhile and the children in Primary 4 couldn’t wait to get stuck in to write their own versions of ‘Fergal’s Second Wish.’ You never know, some of our budding P4 authors might have their own books published in the future. Just watch this space! 📗🤩
