Environmental Poster Competition Winner
Chairperson of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, Councillor Valerie Harte recently congratulated Fiona our primary seven pupil who was one of the winners at this year’s School Environmental Poster Competition in the Council Chamber Downpatrick.
At the prize giving event, councillor Valerie Harte congratulated Fiona on her colourful eye-catching winning design highlighting the problem of single use plastic, the damaging litter it creates and how she encourages us to make good choices for the benefit of the planet.
Fiona can be seen here receiving a framed copy of her poster, as well as £25 voucher and celebrating with mum, eco-teacher and Newry, Mourne and Down District Environmental Co-ordinator.
We are extremely proud of Fiona’s achievement. She is a real ambassador for St. Bronagh’s Primary School encouraging everyone to keep our school, our environment and our planet green and clean.
