🏔️A real-life hero!🏔️

Primary 4 have been learning all about Tom Crean, a famous Irish explorer. Tom showed incredible courage and determination while exploring Antarctica almost 150 years ago. It turns out, Tom’s wife’s sister is Nora’s great, great, great grandmother. How amazing is that!!😍

We also used this opportunity to invite our very own hero, Mr Seamus White, to our class to interview him about his explorations in 2005. Seamus spent 18 days away from home and climbed to Base Camp at Mount Everest, while raising an unbelievable amount of money for charity. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed hearing about his travels, his survival techniques and how much he enjoyed this opportunity. What an amazing man he is!💪🌟
