St Bronagh’s Pupils Inspired by Eco-Musical ‘Waste Busters’
Yesterday afternoon, pupils from Primary Three, Four and Five at St Bronagh’s thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic and engaging performance of the Lyric Theatre’s eco-musical, Waste Busters.
Through an entertaining storyline, the children followed the journey of Ella, a girl who is given the chance to turn back time and reflect on her everyday habits in order to help save the planet. She wasn’t alone on her mission; with the help of the quirky and colourful characters Shrink, Tinkle and Roundabout, Ella was encouraged to:
- STOP and THINK about her daily routines
- HELP to make changes
- MAKE good choices
- MAKE a difference
The children watched eagerly as the Wasteometer tracked Ella’s actions, demonstrating how each positive environmental choice reduced waste, until finally, it hit ZERO WASTE, prompting a huge cheer from the entire hall!
This fun production delivered an important message: each of us can make a difference. Even the smallest actions can have a big impact on protecting our environment.
A special thank you to DAERA for funding this valuable initiative and supporting environmental education in our schools.
